The Full Story

The Be There Project was born out of a deep calling—a response to the silent cries of captive orcas like Wikie and Keijo, who live behind the glass walls of tanks, far from the wild oceans they were meant to roam. We exist to bring truth, grace, and restoration to their lives and to every life confined in unnatural captivity. These majestic beings were stolen from their families, robbed of their freedom, and denied the simple right to choose. We fight for them—for family, for freedom, and for those who were never given a voice in their own story.

Rooted in faith, anchored in storytelling, and driven by remembrance, we stand as advocates for truth. We remember who they were meant to be, and we believe in who they still can be. Through every effort, we seek to rewrite their future—offering not just a dream, but a real, tangible hope: a natural sea sanctuary, where orcas like Wikie and Keijo can find peace, space, and dignity. A place where healing is possible, and where the silence of captivity is replaced by the rhythm of the sea.

We believe that telling the truth—even when it’s hard, even when it costs us something—is a form of love. And we believe love must look like something. It must be bold. It must be seen. It must act. Through compassionate truth and courageous advocacy, we are committed to creating change—not just in policies, but in hearts.

This is not just a movement. It is a promise.

To every orca who still circles a tank.

To every life caught in chains, forgotten or unseen.

We speak these words loud enough to cross the waters:

You are seen. You are loved. We will be there.

Because they were never meant to be alone.
